The River Road African American Museum (RRAAM) will celebrate 32 years of preserving and sharing African American history with a two-day anniversary event, Preservation, Place & People: Celebrating 32 Years of History & Community, taking place March 13–14, 2026, across the RRAAM campus in the historic district of Donaldsonville.

The River Road African American Museum hosted its annual MLK Day of Service: Community Volunteer Event, bringing together families, youth, church members, and local residents to honor the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. through hands-on service in Donaldsonville.
